#1063 Little Haldon - 3D & fam - 7 Aug 2022

We welcomed Fukarwe and Prickly Bottom (I think) as virgins to City of Exeter H3, and Suckmethere had also brought friends with her.  And it was good to see Paperwork back after his op, although he's only allowed to walk.

The hare asked us how long we wanted the trail to be, and despite a request for 6 miles, he could only promise 4.5. On the other hand, he owned up that he hadn't measured it!

The first part of the trail took us over the gorse land with the longs trying not to get legs scratched too badly. There was some toing and froing as we searched for the trail from checks, but eventually found ourselves on Luscombe Hill and we headed into Ashcombe Woods.

We weaved our way around the narrow paths through the woods, eventually catching up with the shorts.  The trail continued with more long shorts, with the shorts seemingly going direct and with three longs taking a path laden with checks to slow us down further.

Sorepoint had been on WhatsApp talking to Ellie, I mean Tight, about the venues for the next couple of weeks. She was obviously not running hard enough!!

Soon we were at the sweetie stop with enough sweeties to open a shop!! I forgot to take a hash flash, so we took it at the end instead.

I can't remember much about the second half of the trail, other than there was a bit of a traffic jam as the kids thought twice about going through the gorse and Prickly bits (new hasher?). But within 40 mins of starting, we were back at the car park. Sorepoint thought she had done a little over 2 miles... Never trust an accountant with numbers! And so he got a down down!

Next week we're meeting at the University of Exeter Rock

Don't forget the rate the hash! The winner at the end of the year will get a prize awarded at the Christmas party. https://cityofexeterhhh.blogspot.com/p/rate-hash_3.html?m=1
