#1189 Wheathill Plantation, Woodbury Common - Imelda - 12 January 2025

A great trail today around the Common, some familiar paths, some not!  Stig joined us for his second trail, and great to see a bumper crowd or on a slightly chilly morning.
It was only 3.5 miles on the long, but felt quite demanding. According to my watch, my heartbeat reached 186/min, against a theoretical machine of 170!
It a qute a technical trail, with lots of long-shorts, and loops, seeming covering the same ground again.
Imelda always seemed to be infront looking after those with shorter legs, and the children.
Spocky obviously got bored so did one of the earlier longs a second time. And Bollards nearly did the same, but accidently!
The selection of sweets was excellent, with peachy rings and juicy cherries. While we were there I learnt that Wide has taught Tight a trick: when he says "middle", she comes between his legs and asks for a treat.
Sorry did I say Tight ... I meant Rosie.

Then on on along many winding paths, completel loosing sense of direction.  Past a rifle shooting wall where apparently Howlin' Wilf shot the enemy during the war. A bit of deja vu as we nearly ended up in an infinity loop, never breaking off the long loop!
Then one last long on the other side of the road, which was hard work going up hill, but all back safely in good time!

On on to next week at Wonford Sports Centre for a trail from Happy Snapper
