#985 King George V Playing Fields, Countess Wear - Speedy & Bollards - 11 October 2020

A fantastic turn out of 16 this week, helped by the glorious weather and central location no doubt. Great to see Zoot, Hot Lips, Rambo and Coat check!

It was Speedy's first 'real' lay, with his mother in tow!  Good job Speedy has a sense of direction and can read a map!!

A welcome and Covid safety check from Spocky, a distribution of sweets, and we were off. The longs did a 1 mile loop around the playing fields before finding themselves back at the car park to rejoin the short. Then up through the houses towards Ludwell Valley Park. Apparently there were bulls in the field at this point, so the hares had to reroute! Then the longs caught up with the shorts, just in time for a socially distanced breather in the warm autumn sun!

Another long short before we headed down Ludwell Lane, and back along the stream to Topsham Road. It was pretty much OnHome from there, past the Crem, following the path to Countess Wear Mill and returning to the car park in just over an hour!

A quick safety circle to check we were all back, and a little refreshment from the back of a car. On On to another Covid secure hash next week (hopefully!).

Next week, we're at The Warren Car Park,
B3180, Woodbury Common EX5 1EZ
