Smugglers Inn, Dawlish - No. 2 - 9th November 2014

This was our quarterly Sunday Lunch hash, and it was a spectacular sunny autumn morning.  A pack of 30+ arrived at the pub's car park for No. 2's trail.  Being Remembrance Sunday, we marked the 11th hour with 2 minutes silence.
It was about 11:10 by the time we actually got going.  The trail took the longs along part of the coastal path.  It was quite hilly but the views were amazing.  There was a short loop around Holcombe, again for the longs, while the shorts followed the main A379 towards Teignmouth.  We started the descent to Teignmouth Sea Front down a small footpath and through some gardens, eventually arriving onto the promenade near the Lido.
The trail followed the main sea wall towards Spray Point and we had to dodge the "normal" people out for some fresh air on a Sunday morning. The sweetie stop was at Spray Point with stunning views along the coast.
The final leg of the trail took us along the sea wall towards Dawlish, under the railway line and up Smugglers Lane back onto the A379 and towards the pub.
On arrival in the car park, Twin Peaks and I spotted Woodpecker's car, and a good fifteen minutes later Woodpecker himself arrived, from the wrong direction.  Evidently, he had been held up on route to the hash. Paddy was named Pants-Down.
