The hash took us on a butterfly shaped route around Cranbrook, first crossing over into the park on the other side of the main road. An interesting second road-crossing back again, with a large puddle to jump over, which once navigated, left us stood in the middle of the carriageway.
Many of the marks had been washed away earlier in the day, so at the long-short splits, English Muffin gave us some instructions. We headed towards the primary school, where we had a regroup, and then a long short split that took the longs down to the station. A regroup followed at the BBQ area. A few more loops round the houses, and another long short, saw us get home just after 12 with 4.5 mile under our belts.
Quote of the week goes to one of Twin Peak's grandsons, who exclaimed that Twin Peaks looked like a child as he saw her running in. Bollards replied that we've been saying that for years.
We gathered in English Muffin's garden with the usual beers etc, and sang happy birthday in the traditional hash-way to Hot Rod. Fines went to Doodle and Dandy for arriving late, and to Boots for going to the pub so that one of the kids could do a poo (which turned out to be just wind), and the Twin Peaks family for nerd naming
Next week we're at Ashclyst Forest, hared by Bullbait.
