#1050 King George V playing fields, Exeter - Hotlips & Zoot - 8 May 2022

Today's trail was mostly laid by Hotlips, as Zoot was recovering from the night before.  Spocky parked in the wrong car park and Brillo joined us after successfully making the dangerous journey from down south. And we were promised a "simple trail" of around 5.5 miles on the long. It was pretty simple (see map), basically a run up to the quay on one side of the river, and back down to the swing bridge along the other! We did wonder whether he was just following the Exeter 10k at one point, following their blue arrows on the floor. It was pretty flat out running for the first 4 miles, then the sweetie stop, and then a wander/jog back home. And somebody played with both the fishhooks on the final stretch making one into a phalic symbol just as a young family walked over it, and the other into a check. Not that it made to much difference as we were knackered and hot by then! And then I (Stix) got the down down for something or other. A few of us went to the Tally Ho! for some food and to soak up the 🌞.

Thanks to the hares for today's trail. Don't forget to rate it! We'll use the votes for the awards at Christmas. https://cityofexeterhhh.blogspot.com/p/rate-hash_3.html?m=1

Next week we're back at Uphams Wood on Woodbury Common, Tampa's and Runnerbean's birthday trail, and apparently Runnerbean is making cake!
