Given it was difficult to find a hare for this week's trail, we had a fantastic turnout. Great to see Horny Woman again, as well as Bellotll, Troy & Minibar becoming regulars now, and Dobbie and Haggis as well.  Disappointed not to see Captain "Fixit" Peakcock after last week - perhaps he got arrested... but we did welocme Flour Power as hare, who had been volunteered to lay at the Autumn Gathering.

Apaprently no marines to come across on today's trail, and we were to watch out for Kirton's marks in sawdust, with Flour Power laying in flour of course.

The Long and Walk trail confusingly headed off in the same direction, with the Shorts going another. Not too confusing though as noone did the Walk!  Thanks to Flour Power for thinking of those lazy b*ggers though!

The longs had a loop, before ctaching up the shorts, and crossing back over the road into the still closed Uphams car park.  Then up to the deforested bit of the plantation, along the edge, eventually ariving at a marking of RL with an arrow. Was this a regroup, with the long marked?  Turns out it was a Runner's Long, which the hare got a down down for later, becuase there are no runners in hashing.  He tried to suggest it means "Really Long", but that was ignored.

After heading to the edge iof the universe, we turned around  and came back the other way, meeting again the shorts, and soon arriving at the Sweetie Stop.  The hare had already sent the early-arriving shorts on, and wasn't expecting there to be more shorts mixed in with the longs. But we had a hash flash anyway.

By now we were 3+ miles in of a 5 miles trail, and looking forward to a beer.  It was getting more shiggy through the woods.  Then we took one of the board walks across the masrshy bits, before another long-short split turned into a HaHa.  Back we came, astarted the trek home along a narrow wet path.

On the Circle, Flour Power got hsi down down, along with Tight for falling over.

Next week its a short trail from Pearl before the AGPU at the Twisted Oak, Ide.
