Exwick - Mildly Moist and Woof Woof - 18th November 2018

After today's 7 miler, I was too tired to write any words, so here's a set of photos today telling the story of the trail!!    Thanks to Speedy for taking them.#

Despite its length (which were hares made perfectly clear at the start!) it was a great trail on a clear and sunny autumn morn ing. The views from the top of Exwick over the city were fantastic.  I certainly took in some tracks that I'd not hashed on before!

Next week, we're at Ellerhayes Bridge EX5 4PY (SS975011) (map).  And don't forget to rate this week's hash.

Annual General Piss Up

Reminder: AGPU on 2 December

All mismanagement positions will be resigned and up for re-election

I've spoken to Groucho and he agreed that I would nominate him for a special position, Grand Master Emeritus.

We might then choose to elect a Grand Master and/or Grand Mistress to deal with day to day duties when Groucho can't be with us.  (Perhaps we call those positions Vice-Grand Master, or Hash Master? )

You can email me, or complete a form that I'll bring to the hash, or leave a message on Facebook. Nominees will obviously have to agree to stand on the meeting day! Position available are:

Grand Master and/or Grand Mistress (see above!)
On Sec
Hare Raiser
Sheriff
Hash Cash
Hare Master/Mistress
Web Master/Mistress
Beer Master/Mistress
Hash Haberdash

Sunday, November 11

Cofton Holiday Park - Stix and family - 11 Nov 2018

A trail that started with the two minutes silence and the Last Post on Remembrance Sunday, and which ended with a great Sunday lunch. A figure-of-eight hash, which was very wet underfoot at the start, with a good few hills thrown in. A fantastic rainbow just as we finished laying, and picturesque views over the estuary.

Don't forget to Rate the Hash

Next week we are at The Thatched House, Exwick EX4 2HY (SX907929) (map).

Friday, November 9

Wonford - Happy Snapper and Humpty - 4 Nov 2018

Quite a miserable drizzly morning. Rocky and I were the only ones daring to go out in just t-shirts. Good to see Spocky and Boots back after the OMM in Wales.

The trail took us down the park and towards the Crematorium. But then there was a little confusion with half a dozen of us starting to follow the trail the wrong was round! We got all the way down to the old mill before Bull Bait cashed us back. The 'forward' trail to us up to the bridge at Ducks Marsh, and then a long around the sports pitches. We had the sweetie stop alongside the river... And it was still drizzling. The shorts were a long way behind, and Tampa and Sting Ray had to be restrained from eating all the sweets. The trail then continued up towards Countess Wear, but with all they pack except me choosing to ignore the trail along the river bank.  The trail then headed over the river and back toward home, taking in the trail that we saw at the beginning. A bit of a wait in the rain by the walkers before Speedy offered up the fines.

Don't forget to Rate the Hash

Next week we are at Cofton Holiday Park (map), between Starcross and Dawlish. There's Sunday lunch afterwards - let me know if you want to join the hash table.
