33 hashers met at various different car parks on Woodbury Common because the original venue, the Warren Car Park, was jammed. Estuary View had plenty of spaces so through the magic of WhatsApp, most of us ended up there... and we circled up by the side of the road. Spocky had anticipated this, apparently, and had planned for the sweetie stop to be at the Castle, but was now able to move it to the Warren... It was all very complicated, and some of the pack, including the D's, who'd found a space at the Warren now had an extra mile to trek to get to the start, and another mile to get back again!!
We welcomed SMT, Spitball, and Henry the Turd to the pack, as visitors from Taunton. And a very welcome return to Nickerless.
The trail was about 5 miles long for the longs, taking us around the edge of the Castle's moat, then up towards Woodbury Park, across the road to the Warren. Should have been simple to follow. Unfortunately Spocky hadn't marked the long (he got pulled away when the car parking mayhem started) and Bollards and Nickerless missed the loop back into the short (although technically there wasn't a loop back as Spocky hadn't marked it!). They never did make the sweetie stop, despite a long WhatsApp call where Coffin told them to follow the sun!
But they did eventually come back on trail, apparently having done more miles than the rest of us! The second half of the trail (which should have been the first half) had another couple of long-short loops, winding is back up to the Castle, where on the circle, Bollards got the down down.
