#1037 Bishopsteignton - Wide & Ménage - 6 Feb 2022

It wa one was of those days when you don't know what to wear. The forecast says it was 11 degrees, but the cold from the wind and showers suggested otherwise. It was better in Bishopsteignton than it was in Exeter, that's for sure.
We gathered at The Lawns, welcoming Undulating Bottom to get first City of Exeter trail, and with the expectation that it was going to be a little hilly. And the first part of the trail took us down to the main road and then back up to Radway Street and the vineyard with a couple of long diversions (down then back up) to keep the pack together. This was there last time I saw the walkers for a while as there was a very long lane that took us past Muse's fan, all the way down to Broadmeadow on the outskirts of Teignmouth. And when I say down, it really was down hill all the way, but with a couple of fishhooks included for fun.
Then we had the sweetie stop in the play park near the Broadmeadow centre, where we found Tight (she wasn't at the start) with sweets blowing everywhere. We were there for a while and could see the walkers on the other side of the industrial estate working their way down the lane. Meanwhile we tucked into the dinosaur jelly sweets (really meant for them kids), love hearts and haribos. Menage's dog jumped up to hit Wide in the groin as he was taking the photo below! Bollards and Speedy found this very funny!
Then Oddbitz took the car back with Tight (and Son of the Bitz joined them), while the rest of us continued with the trail, with another long loop that took us past the ruined Bishop's Palace Palace, back past the vineyard again, with a final long up hill, before on home.
The fabulous Crew Coffee were there ready to serve uscoffee, hot chocolate and cakes, thanks to Tight organising us and them!
Next week's trail is in Dawlish from Coronation Avenue
