#1140 King George V playing fields, Exeter - Hotlips, Zoot and Coatcheck - 21 Jan 2024

Another good size pack, with hopefully nobody turning up at Mamhead (the old venue). Hotlips had rearranged because of the high winds forecast earlier in the week.

It was great the welcome back Cheerio Beerio and children (Tinkletoes, and Puddle Plopper... who was named later on the circle), and Chuckles.

The trail was a loop around the river basin, with the sweetie stop just 20 mins in at Salmonpool bridge. But the longs arrived well before the shorts. Wide and Peacock retraced their steps to add some more miles, while Spooky went to find the shorts as they were coming in on the other side of the steam. Spooky took a long while to return though... Not sure what he was getting up to in the undergrowth, maybe making the most of the numerous doggers, sorry I mean dog walkers, around ;-) . He missed the first hash flash, so we had to reset and go again.

The longs then took us up towards the quay, back along the canal to the incinerator, then along the fields to the swing bridge. A long continuous r@n and I was a little moist, according to Xbitz by the time I'd caught to with the shorts. By this point Peacock had already overtaken the front of the shorts, and run back to them, and was enjoying a natter, before r@nning on again.

Soon back to the car park after a 4 and a bit mile trail, and some beers, snacks, and the naming of Puddle Popper (who didn't seen to worried about being in the circle, unlike Tinkletoes last time!!)

On on to Brillo's trail next week from Teignmouth railway station.
