Brillo managed to navigate the trains and successfully arrive at the station car park before the rest of the pack. He laid most of the trail yesterday in the dark apparently, and what he'd laid was far too long, so he'd decided to cut it short this morning. "Serves me right for not doing a proper recce" he said. At least it was only a smallish pack this week, with the athletic ones all off skiing.
After a weird man ( not Brillo!) accosted Tight and then Bollards at the start of the trail, we set off towards Eastcliff Park. Meanwhile Brillo went to lay the new much-shorter end of the trail. Marks we all but invisible in the park, presumably after dogs had eaten them. But we slowly navigated or way up to the main road at the top of the park.
It was very hilly! Wide accompanied Tight back to the start, being the gentleman he is!! It might have been difficult to follow without the hare, but that meant the pack stayed together! Then along New Road, and we had the Sweetie Stop, where Brillo had laid the new short trail to, outside Trinity school. Brillo bought a few bags of sweets from Tesco's, but the main attraction was the advent calendar that had been 'damaged' at work, and because he is in charge of damaged stock, he thought we'd appreciate it.
From the all the way down hill back to the station for a beer and crisps.
Next week it the annual awards from The Twisted Oak at Little Johns Cross near Ide.
