Huge puddles in the car park as we arrived after a week of rain. With our GM up north, the hare was also master of ceremonies He welcomed virgin 'Jodie', and she was asked to introduce in the circle, but only got as far as "Hello, I'm Jodie, and I..." before being kicked out again.
Good to see Belltoll for the first time this year. Peacock was back after his chest infection, with Spocks still recovering from his 67 broken ribs, and with Minibar on antibiotics. Not the healthiest, fittest group!
The trail was a one and on trail, and certainly not 'lazy', with lots of long/short/walks to keep everyone happy. First up through the part of the woods that were no longer woods 🪓 🪓, and then following marks through the undergrowth where there was no path. Down a path alongside a gulley, and back up the other side. For most of the trail, I didn't know whether the shorts were with us or not, and after a few miles of r@nning along streams and flooded paths, passing a dodging looking man digging a grave shaped hole, and a sweetie stop towards the end, we finished an excellent trail. And our new comer had come well prepared, with a parachute on her back according to Peacock, because she "didn't know what to expect"...
Thanks again to Wilf for being hare and standing in at the last minute. Next week we're at the Old Fire station in Topsham.
