The first trail of Spring, metrologically speaking anyway. We started outside of The Ship, still sadly clad in scaffold and closed. Wide was our hare, and had just beenround some gardens of the house up the road after trying to buy some homemade jam!
The trail took us up through Cockwood, with immediately a little long to make us do some ofthe hill twice. Then across to Dawlish Countryside Park where there was another long around the field, some more steep uphill, and the sweetie stop amongst the doggers of Dawlish, who were out in force. We peered across the fields to where Tampa lived as a child a couple of centuries ago.
It then got a bit muddled, but Imelda seemed to be the only one to do the next long correctly, with another hilly loop around the park, before we headed back home via the woods of Cofton.
After the trail, Brillo got his award for Newcomer if the Year, and the down down that goes with it. Then a pint in The Anchor before heading home.
Please don't forget that you should be voting for trail of the month for February .
Next week's trail will be laid by Zoot, venue to be announced!
