#1174 St Katherine's Priory - Stix - 29 September 2024

The trail was to mark our Life President's 80th birthday, and Groucho joined us at the start of the trail.  A few late comers are missing from the photo, including Tampa, Happy Snapper and Humpty, and for the first time in 12 years, Horny Woman! We signed Groucho's card and took a hash flash because he wasn't sure he'd make the sweetie stop!

The trail started off with us trying to find Horny Woman, as apparently she'd gone to Morrisons! She parked up when she saw us r@nning towards her, opened the car and fluently launched herself into the hash like she'd planned it that way!
A long loop for the athletes, but across the road into Mincinglake Valley Park for the rest of us. Up through a small orchard and through the undergrowth, where Sorepoint went for a wee. Another long short back to the main road, and eventually the trail returned onto the main path.
Then the bit where I got lost, down through the trees to the bottom of the valley, and back up across roots and muddy streams.
Not long after that, it was the sweetie stop where Woodpecker was first to arrive (and local young lad, Beltoll, the last!!)

From there it was across Stoke Road and up up up along a path, rejoining Stoke Road with another long-short. The shorts headed left, and the longs went down hill back close to the sweetie stop to enjoy the hill once again.

Quite a long stretch along the road before heading right on to the bridle way, and a nice view of Exeter. Here is where we realised that we'd lost Minibar and Blobby. Minibar was just ahead, but Blobby had gone wrong and was heading back home.

Then down towards home, with a final long short, and back around 12.20.
After the trail we enjoyed lunch thanks to Groucho and Beanbag. Thankyou very much to then both for looking after us with some of their other friends (I just hope they didn't mind the hash version of happy birthday!). It seemed Groucho was very happy with his celebrations, and thanks to him for settiing up the hash nearly 1200 trails ago!!

Next week we're at Haldon Belvedere, https://maps.app.goo.gl/r1hC2kFS2mkTzvLz9
