A bit of a dreary morning with heavy showers in Cranbrook. Poor Baby Bear was really suffering, and was unable to make an appearance. He stayed at home with birthday BOY Cup Cake. So sadly the BBQ was off - but then it wasn't really BBQ weather! It seemed like Twin Peaks had brought along her entire family with two grandsons hashing, and it was good to see Blobby back on trail too. Today, Woodpecker arrived on time, so we were able to make a prompt start. A little too prompt for Doodle and Dandy (no Yankee) who we didn't see untill the on home.
The hash took us on a butterfly shaped route around Cranbrook, first crossing over into the park on the other side of the main road. An interesting second road-crossing back again, with a large puddle to jump over, which once navigated, left us stood in the middle of the carriageway.

We came past a large bear trap in the forest, which Howling Wilf suggested was for catching 2 white bears on the beaches
Spocky was at the front and saw what he thought was a check, but actually an arrow, this hence caused Spocky to “accidentally” ask speedy to go the opposite direction to the arrow, and hence helping pay for our Christmas drinks.
Son of the bits got very excited at the prospect of a sweet stop.
